Discover Backyard AWE!
In February, I was invited to speak at a TEDx event on my new favorite subject, AWE.
I know you’re probably saying, “What the heck is AWE?” Well let me tell you.
AWE is the emotion you feel when you experience something so amazing that it literally takes your breath away. You often feel this when you are in nature, but you can also feel it when you see art, beauty or someone or something you love deeply.
I am ecstatic that the benefits of “AWE” are now backed up by science. Organizations like the Greater Good Science Center and Doctors at UC Berkeley are validating the Neuroscience of AWE and how it can affect every area of your life. AWE provides new perspectives, connects you to yourself and others, makes you more altruistic and the science is proving it is even an anti-inflammatory!
I have infused ADVENTURE +AWE into my Corporate Culture & Leadership Development programs to create powerful and transformative results for my clients.
I’m over the moon about how these worlds, Culture & Development and ADVENTURE + AWE , are converging to transform my service and product offerings.
My talk, “Discover Backyard AWE”, outlines why it’s important to slow down and cultivate AWE for physical, mental, and emotional benefits. It is an inexhaustible resource (and it’s much easier than meditation).
I feel honored to have the chance to share this message which touches me so profoundly.
Thank you for allowing me to share my passion!
